I was thinking of getting some newer tires for my ride. I have read good reports on Bridgestone's Potenza Pole Position's, but wanted to hear your opinions on it. I've got a 2004 Impala and want to put nice high performance tires on it. Between these or the Yokohama ADVAN S.4.

Mods: I apologize now if this is the wrong forum. Please move to the appropriate forum if necessary.

I love my Pole Position S03's, and the Dueler A/T Revo's on my me ma and pop's cars. Besides, free balancing & rotations for life.

My buddy is running the Advans on his Porsche 944, those tires griiiip like none other, but have worn like shit on his car.

Talking about tires is fairly relative though, you're best bet, is to look at the UTCGQ ratings, lower the # the faster it'll wear, but generally the grippier it'll be. The #'s arent neccessarily spot on between brands, but its a good measure.

And lastly, Tire Rack is your friend. Check the reviews.

S03s are incredible tires, but they were discontinued about 7 months ago. Whatever stock is out there is all that there is.

  5. The RE01-R and the RE050 A Pole Position replaced the S03.

  6. And either of those bridgestones are better than the Yokohama S4.
