pros: great laptop, light, good battery life, WIDESCREEN LCD!

cons: i think it has a video card that uses some of the ram from the laptop, probably sucks for games? (never tried), probably the only con

did a search, it's onboard Intel 855GM graphics, which suck balls for gaming, and it's 1280x768, which is *NOT* high definition.

HD is 1920x1080 -- which you fall VERY short of.

Whoever said HP notebooks suck is a dick. Either keep that one, or get the dv4000 series. It's 15in widescreen unlike your 14in, and has great onboard audio[Harmon Kardon?]. Basically a step up from the dv1000 series. How much exactly will you be able to return your dv1000 for?

    :wtc: lucckkyyy.....

If you like the dv1000 then for sure return it and get the dv4000. For 1500 you can get a pretty pimped dv4000 and keep your beloved widescreen.

err there is a catch here though (the place where i return it to) might not have the dv4000, so if i buy it from somewhere else, i cant return it anymore every 6 months :hsd:

thats why i am just thinking of buying ibm thinkpad from ibm website and keep that laptop forever, but i need more opinions and suggestions!

Costco Online has the dv4000. I saw it there not long ago. Or does it have to be brick and mortar return?
