I'm completely happy with the Tokina 11-16 and Tamron 17-50. However, I am lacking in the long end.

I'm thinking maybe start an ING account and dump like $200/mo in it and buy myself a nice 70-200 2.8 for Christmas? :x:

I don't spend my money on other shit I don't want or need. Put a little aside for a few months and then buy whatever you want.

i just budget my finances and see what i can afford, then charge to 5x that to my CC and let it trash my credit scores  no but yeah i just charge it to my CC and pay it off so i can rack up points and get it right away. i get a lot of money to play with each month just to do whatever with. right now im spending everything on my equiptment (cam, lenses, computer) and then later i will be spending it on travelling around europe giving my equiptment exercise.

what are you looking to use it for? The 70-200 f/4.0 is a great lens and only about $600

i would like the ability to shoot at a show, such as friends who do dancing performances.

i'd also like to be able to shoot sports at 1/1000+. sure f/4 would get this done at a high iso, but 1 stop would be better

plus my wide and mid are 2.8.
