do you have to some special wiring other than the red and black soldering?? i tested both my cactus v2 receivers to my sb600 which has a shoe sync and it goes off. but when connected to my vivitar 285HV via the sync it doesnt go off. so the problem isnt the cable or the receivers. like i said all i did was the black and red wires to the new metal shoe. thanks

all those 2 wires do is touch when the flash is supposed to go off... i just soldered them in the way they came off the plastic shoe
