I just impulse bought a 17" off of ebay ($1100 shipped w/1gig RAM). I thought that was a pretty good deal for a two week old machine. But then I saw the whole "no adobe updated apps till 2007" crap. Bummer, since creative suite is what I use 75% of the time.

So my question for anyone with an intel mac - How slow does photoshop and illustrator run? Is it pretty bad?

Haven't tried to run it. I have the suite on my iBook if I ever need it, but I have used photoshop maybe 3 or 4 times in the last year and a half, so this really isn't an issue for me. :dunno:

Editing images and various low power tasks are running just fine. No menu lag. I am not going to do any major batch work with photoshop until I get something native. But for resizing; touching up; and creating documents and photos I do not see any problem with it running through Rosetta.
