I hear fairtex is kind of a rip off, they don't really see you as a prospective fighter, just an american cash cow, and you won't get training like as if you were a native.

Don't touch the women. Bad things happen when you touch the women.

ive figured the costs to be as follows:
    round trip flight:1200-1300
    training per month: 700
    extra spending money per month:300?

so its going to be pretty expensive if i go there for 3 months :hs:

nah I just heard from someone else who went over there to train at fairtex and ended up leaving and just going to one of the other all-thai local gyms and said the training was much better. :dunno: just passing on what I've heard.

    :eek4: goddamn

it'll be DAMN cheap to live there. i've known people who've stayed in 5 star hotel/resorts in thailand for $80ish/night. i'm sure you can rent out a room somewhere for $100/month even. food there is cheap too :o

I've heard good things about Lanna Muay Thai camp. Some Australian guy told me he trained there. 160-180 a month to train, but accomodations are separate. It's in a town called Chaing Mai.

well i just came back from phuket, i paid 450 for room air conditioned deluxe bungalow.5000 baht for training. food, training gear, patong, scooter some other puchases like a leather trenchcoat. international calls. i spent about 4000 cdn in a month. but i had the time of my life. that 4000 doesn't include my plane ticket. i suppose i could have spent less, made my own food and stuff. drinks cost about the same as north america.
