After a discussion with a friend I became curious about some stats...

of those of you that have kids, how many of you didnt plan on it? and why did it happen (no protection, condom broke, missed pill, etc)?

I don't have kids, but it seems like 90% of the people I know who have them didn't plan on it :noes:

Mine was an accident. I just didnt use protection. We were being stupid. But either way he is the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldnt trade him for anything in the world.

1 Child, He wasn't planned, To be honest Id call it an act of God, My wife and I have never protected sex before him, and one day it just happened. I wouldn't give him back for the world though, he is just awesome.

Word of advice, you WILL NEVER be financially stable for a child, Don't try to do it. The best thing you can do is get all the necessities first, get his/her nursery in line stock up on Diapers and food and everything, and most imporantly get everything YOU want first because once he or she comes out, your become third on the food chain for things you want.

Both my daughters were basically planned. The 1st baby was concieved a year and 9 months into our marriage, and I stopped using birth control pretty much right after the honeymoon. We were just letting whatever happens, happen. Not trying super hard or anything, just not using any B.C. I was a little surprised, but we knew that we wanted to have kids so it was all good.

The 2nd baby was planned (I had my IUD removed for that one) and we actually DID try for several months, and it was so stressful and disappointing, that we pretty much threw our hands up and did the "let whatever happens, happen" deal (and I started using natural progesterone cream) and I got PG within about 3-4 months.

So, no real major "oooops!es" here.
