I wear weightlifting shoes for the squat and wrestling shoes for the deadlift. I heard the weightlifting shoe is not ideal for the bench press because it's inflexible. What do you guys recommend?

i'm pretty sure most euro's use OL shoes to bench in due to the heel and keeping in contact with the ground. i dont think it matters much.. then again my bench blows. i just use nike shox most of the time. but i bench with my feet flat on the ground, not on my toes

I wear a pair of saucony running shoes but like NUDES I put my feet flat on the ground with them turned out to the side a bit.

GT: That's exactly how I bench, it sounds like.

BTW, I currently wear both running shoes and wrestling shoes for the bench press.

That would be the equivalent of a former Satanist turned Born Again Christian doing something evil again, just for fun.

I've benched in flipflops and work boots when I forgot my proper footwear and really didn't notice a difference. I just like the comfort of mah runninig shoes. It's like walking on pillows.

it depends on the fed, the best way of cheating in IPF is wearing oly shoes, and there is not a rule against raised heal in multi ply fed, so nobody cares. This will also be related to benching style.

    :werd:

Doesn't matter for me as well. More so, when my feet are off the floor when benching. ;)
