Does every soldier get one of those Marine swords or only officers? My step father is a retired master gunnery seargent and I wanted to get him A replica for christmas, but I don't wanna come out and ask unless it is brought up casually. He probably retired 15-20 years ago, fought in vietnam.

I got him a throw from Things Remembered with his name and rank a few years ago and he went nuts and rearraged his office to match it.

the golden one is the more common, i've actually never seen a silver one

not to be confused with the Mameluke Sword which is for ossifers
