Hey fellas, as most of you guys know apart from me judo i am also a bjj blue belt. I have been having a lot of luck with the crucifix at the moment, but I am wondering why i dont see it a lot in high level comp. I usually nail it of side control by placing one arm under his near leg and casping the thigh on his far leg. then my arm near his head reaches and casps under his armpit. I push him up to the side, slide my leg behind his head and get the crucifix. I have also been shown how to get it from mount and when they are turtled but im not comfortable with it yet. I was just wondering if this is just an under used position in bjj or is there another reason it isnt used so much? Trvia: In judo the translation for the collar choke from the crucifix is called 'the hell strangle'
