Hey, whenever I plug my LCD projector or TV into my Macbook the screen gets all distorted... everything gets larger, and smooshed together... here are 2 screenshots to tell the difference...

notice the toolbar, and the size of the open windows...

This is what it should look like...

Here it is when the LCD projector is plugged in...

anyone? I've tried going to "System Preferences"----> "Displays", but I don't want to have to do that every time I plug my computer in... is there an easier way? There has to be...

the computer is probably detecting the default resolution of the projector and setting that.

what resolution is your projector capable of? a lot of older resolutions will only send out low res signals.

if you are referring to the internal display on your macbook being mushed up, turn off mirroring and it will display the normal 1280x800 res. If you turn off mirroring it will also remember it after you disconnect the external display (projector) so you wont have to set it next time.

looks like it's because of the projectors resolution... its Max resolution is 800 x 600 ...
