So I'm going to start eliminating anything remotely garbage from my diet. I have a solid muscle base now and maintained it for a while so it should be relatively easy to lean up a bit without losing much muscle mass.

I'm making a grocery list and I don't think I'm going to eat ANYTHING that isn't on this list except on rare occasion. Do you see anything wrong or unhealthy about this list or anything I should add to it?

    eggs
egg whites (regardless of dietary cholesterol having minimal effect on blood cholesterol the whole idea of eating whole eggs in mass doesn't sit right with me)
    skim milk
    chicken
    lean turkey burgers
salsa (one of my staple meals that I eat almost daily is 2 chicken breasts and 1 cup brown rice, it tastes amazing with some salsa on top)
vegetables (the steam bags I buy have carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower)
fruits (bananas, strawberries, blueberries, apples, oranges, avocado)
    brown rice
    nastural peanut butter
    almonds
    oats
    yogurt
    salmon
    tuna
    sardines
    black beans
    olive oil (for cooking salmon/chicken/etc)

and the occasional bar/meal replacement shake (for at school/work when I can't cook, they are generally pretty loaded with vitamins and nutritents if you pick the right ones).

Then of course a daily multivitamin and fish oil

Is there anything that really sticks out as WRONG with this? Once I get a solid list of food I can work with I'll set up a diet to cycle every few weeks so I don't get bored :wiggle:

no, haven't ever read any stickies concerning diet... I've just always eaten somewhat clean and a lot of it :dunno: so now I want to eat completely clean :o

I think by nature it will be a cut, the removal of crappy and calorie dense foods will put me at a deficit (and once I get more feedback about these foods I'm going to set up a diet that will ensure I am at a deficit). I started eating more clean about 2 months ago and stopped gaining weight, and now I'm eating completely clean and adding cardio a few days a week so I should lose fat.

post a meal breakdown or at least a daily macro breakdown... just a list of foods isn't too much to go on
