Correct me if im wrong but a regular yugo sks will not accept detachable mags.

How much do sks's that do accept detachable mags go for?

I sold mine for 300 bucks with a fiberglass stock and a red dot and beat weaver scope. Good guns. I finally got a wasr tho. Expect to spend 300+ as far as I know they were made by norinco.

Yeah I'd probably just go with an AK, regular chicom SKS's are pulling in like $300 now a days, probably looking at 350ish for a D, you can get a yugo in great condition for half that, is it worth double the price for detach mag's? :dunno:

Does anyone have a source for California legal one's? I bought one for 175 out the door with 500 rounds of ammo but now I am looking for another one for my friend.

Cali legal whats? SKS? AK? I assume by your price you mean SKS. The issue is that the most common SKS variant (the Yugo) generally has a grenade launcher on the front that needs to be modified/removed/something to prevent it from making the Yugo fall into the AW category in CA. Most shops that stock them won't ship to CA anyway, so really, your best bet is to find a gun shop that already has them in stock and buy it there.
