I know what gun I want, I just need to know what's required besides the background check.

My main question is, I have a NY state driver's license and I want to know if it's possible to buy a gun in Nevada using my NY state's drivers license.

I've lived here for 2 years now and I'm a US Citizen.

Or if someone could point me to a good gun law website that puts things in layman terms, cause I don't understand that shit :)

I'm pretty sure you're out of luck. If you have a NV driver's license, then you'd be good to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong, WMD.

Don't you have ten days to notify them of an address change?

I know when I moved to Utah years ago, they require ten days to notify of change of address. They also give you 30 days in which to obtain a Utah's driver's license. I only know this because I got ticketed for it.:mamoru:

Guess I'll be getting a Nevada license then.

Was just wondering cause it's a hassle for me to change my license over, I have to take the written AND road test.

Why? most states recognize other state's licenses and will issue based on the fact that you are already a 'licensed driver'.

Texas recognized my Oklahoma license when I moved ... even offered to transfer my motorcycle endorsement just by paying the additional fee. No test of any sort needed.
