Will a PCIE-8x RAID card work on a 1x slot? I only have a regular PCI and PCIE1x slots avaliable, and Im looking for a 6-8 port RAID card. Will I have problems?

Nope, an x1 fits in an x8, but not the other way around.

WHat about regular PCI? Is it gonna work really slow if I connect 6 HDs to it?

PCI is slower than PCI-E x1. There isn't enough bandwidth on the PCI bus for that many drives.

What board do you have? What RAID level were you planning to use?

Looks like you're SOL. PCI-Ex1 isn't useful for a hell of a lot.

You could always dismantle your SLI setup, sell the second card, buy a better video card, and use the other PCI-Ex16 slot for a RAID controller. You'd definitely still get l33tz0r points for having the savvy to sacrifice video performance to run a RAID.

EDIT: However, if you're willing to drop down to four drives, you can get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116042
