I'm trying to create 2 new partitions on my HD without losing the data/ information on my original one partition that i have right now. is there a way to do this using disk utility or can i get another program that will allow me to do this without losing my data. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...:bigok:

when i try to do it this is what shows up.

It'd almost be better to boot from an external drive if you're worried about risking everything.

But, I did find an interesting article about partitioning: Mac Geekery

Boot Camp? Once you have the two partitions, you can just format the second how you want via disk utility.
