My desktop has Office 2k7 installed from the store, and my laptop doesn't. Both comps have XP as their OS. Can I somehow copy the office software to my laptop? maybe using the boot disk or copying the program files. I know I would have to use the same Key or dwnload a key gen. But could I?

have a look at the license agreement, last I remember, the license allowed you to install it on 2 machines, a personal desktop and a personal laptop, as long as both are not in use at the same time. That was for the retail version, I don't know which version you have, so OEM might be different, and if yours came preinstalled, it's probably the OEM.

If it doesn't allow you to have 2 installs, it's fairly cheap to buy the student & teacher edition from somewhere like bestbuy or costco.
