MIL Question about medications and enlisting...

Discussion in 'On Topic' started by KillerRobotJews, Feb 27, 2009.

  1. I'm currently on Adderall, and Clonazepam for Attention defecit disorder. How will this affect my enlistment, and I'm guessing there's no chance I can continue these medications right? :hs:

  3. oh holy fuck :hs:

I've been getting my scripts filled lately, but not taking them :hs:

Sp this basically means I have to stop for at least a year now till I can join? unless I get a hard ass waiver?

there are certain medications you need to be "off" of more more than a year or two to even qualify for a waiver. its really up to the discretion of the MEPS doc when you sit down with him in the exam room depending on how long youve been off the meds.

  6. At what point in the process will I sit down with a Meps doc? Wondering if I should even try and enlist at this point

when youre doing your meps physical, one of the stations is an 'interview' with a doctor. you basically go over all of your medical history and if something may need a waiver, he will either recommend a waiver or not.
