Question about Linux Enlightenment. (Theme program)

It says that I'm missing the dependencies (fnlib and libFnlib). I actually unpacked these files (gunzipped then used tar). After that, I went into each of those directories and did a ./configure, install, make install, and the files were delivered. They are just sitting in their respective directories. I need to do the final step, which is the step I don't know.

I apologize for posting this here. :hs: My experience is that most Linux forums get 2 visitors a day. :hs: Thanks again.

i'm sure its probably installed with whatever distro you have....

afterstep is a clone of the nextstep desktop that apple bought in the early 90s and finally implemented with osx...

recompile enlightenment. IIRC, you have to recomile it with the needed libraries. I could be wrong though.

    Why are you using that?

To give my system that OSX look.

By the way, MPlayer installed, and my users problem is fixed. Things are pretty smooth. I've never gotten this far. I would usually give up after a day or two in favor of windows. As long as I have Windows on my main computer, I'll be able to fool around with Linux on the other machine.

    I did:

    ./configure (GOOD)
    install (GOOD)
    make install (GOOD)

Now the files are just sitting in the directory.

That was for the dependency files.

Enlightenment is an rpm file - easy install.

    Where was the compiling done?

youre suppose to so make (which compiles) then make install (moves the compiled files into the directory)

but given its installed right, make install should of moved the files where they need to go

Ha ha! I'm installing J2SE with IDE. :o

    I had to try this:

    chmod +x j2se-binfile.bin
    ./j2se-binfile.bin

I'm telling you.. there's no way in hell that a normal Windows user would switch over to Linux.
