I'm a 22 year old guy. My diet consists mostly of chicken, turkey, and beef. Veggies and other things included, but i just decided to list the meats.

I take a multi vitamin/mineral supplement every day. The specific one I'm on is the "Nature Made Essential Balance" one. In it is 9mg of Iron, or 50% of the rec. daily value. I've heard that too much iron in a man's diet can be bad. Should I try and find a multi vit/mineral that doesn't have iron in it (because I eat a decent amount of meat) or is it safe for me to stick with this one?

    Thanks

Kinda... with too much vitamin C, a good percentage of it goes to waste in your urine stream, so its not horrible to take too much each day. But a good % of extra iron is absorbed into your bloodstream, and can be bad for your system, but I don't know how much is too much

If we had copper in our blood instead of iron it would be blue instead of red, like the horseshoe crab.

    No it isnt.:hsugh:

    Mr. D:
First thing: Blood is *never* blue. Blood is described as dark red (venous) or bright red (arterial). Our veins look blue because we are looking at them *through* our skin. The blood inside them is dark red and it doesn't reflect light very well. The blood you see when you get hurt is usually venous blood. Arterial blood comes out in spurts. It spurts every time the heart beats. I hope you never see that.

unless you have a vagina or a goth who likes cutting yourself i would watch your iron intake. Excess iron is a good way to ray your risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
