my 08 tundra has an aux jack, and i have tried several mp3 players with all the same results..

i always rip my cd's to the highest quality, as well as download the highest quality..

now, why is it, with all the volumes cranked on the stereo and on the mp3 player, it isnt loud at all.....like quieter than just the radio and WAY quieter than an actual cd

is there any way to make the mp3 player come through the speakers louder?

    why does this happen?

how does the ipod sound when the volume is set at the same level, but played through a different vehicle, or home stero etc? possible the input audio level is adjusted down in your computer/itunes?

check to make sure sound check is off on your ipod and there is no volume limit.

sounds like you may have the sound on your ipod down or something to that effect. also don't turn your ipod/mp3 player all the way up as it tends to overload the system (just my experience)

this is gonna sound gay, but make sure you're plugging the jack into the aux port completely and that you're using a stereo plug and not a audio/video plug (2 stripes for audio vs 3 stripes for a/v)

Probably the maximum volume on the iPod or a poorly designed radio by Toyota.

If you can, get a line-level output cable for your iPod.

This, and try wiggling the jack and pulling it out slowly. Sometimes it can be pushed in "too" far. :hs:
