I am contemplatng getting my first tattoo. I designed it myself, and I just wanted to know which colors I should stay away from.....Colors that fade, don't show, etc.

white hardly shows. I've seen reds turn pink, blues fade, blacks turn green.

But really there is no way to perdict what will happen. No matter what the sun will fade the tatt over time. But different inks react differently.

its all how your skin takes it. I have a light green in one and its the same as it was when i got it, but my friends its more yellow now way hard to tell its there. my tattoo guy always says its skin not paper, might look good on paper but might not go with skin

The tattoo I designed has orange pink and yellow in it. Thank you for your advice. I'll let you know what happens.

I have been told that new ink will not fade like the old school stuff does. I have an uncle in his 80's that has tats that were once black that now look green. I got my first about 12 years ago and it has not faded that much.:dunno:

As long as you take care of your tat, You should not have lots of fading.
