Im having trouble finding holsters to fit my meprolight adjustable night sights. It seems the only holsters that will clear the taller front blade of the sights are tactical thigh holsters, but I want one for range (paddle) and one for my glock 23 (IWB). Does anyone have adjustable sights on their handguns and if so which companies do you recommend for holsters? I perfer kydex/molded plastic holsters vs leather. Thanks.

How tall is this thing? Most Milt Sparks and other nice leather rigs are made with a molded sight channel just for this.

I dunno but I'll snap some pics when I get home.... I'd say about 1/4 inch? Nooo that sounds kinda tall. I will check when I get home.

Here are some old pics of my H&K....

That looks like their front sight for a silencer equipped pistol, where did you get that thing?

Laf @ Replies..... I dunno its what came with my custom sport H&K. I dont plan on carrying the H&K I wanted a holster for range use. When I replaced the H&K sites with meps its a lil shorter but not much. The G23 I wanted to carry but its front blade is just as tall, maybe a lil shorter. Maybe I should buy the Kimber CDPII that I was going to get the other day but instead bought a XD45acp.

But I will still post pics tonight.

Check out www.fist-inc.com, every holster is hand made. May take a bit longer to get (6 weeks for mine) but you can have them customize it however you want.

With a name like fist-inc on OT I wasnt sure if I should click on that... LOL

Here are some pics..... ignore the old ass orange carpet, but my guns are in a storage room in my parents house (states) and they used the old carpet to line the floor.

Compare the old H&K pics to the current and you can see the Meprolight front blade is smaller than the H&K but still pretty big.

That's why adjustable target sights are crap for a carry weapon. Those are designed for one thing, precision range shooting. I personaly would just remove the set and have low profile night sights put on. I carry a set of trijicon ghost rings on my XD but the front blade is short and out of the way.

If you want a kydex paddle holster with a big sight channel you should check out Blade-tech. Its a good quality holster with adjustable cant and retension.

I called blade tech the other day looking for a holster for my G23 and the guy said it would take at least 8 weeks to get one.

You may want to try one of their resellers, see if they have any left. I got mine from cactus tactical, it almost looked like a rip off because it was so cheap but they shipped it fast and everything worked out great.

The guy gave me some websites and numbers to check out but they didn't turn up anything.:dunno: I've been giving the local gun store a call about once a week, they're waiting on a shipment of about 200 blade techs, just haven't gotten them yet.

If this were the main forum, I would be right there with you, but it's a real company, and they do exceptional work. Here are a couple of old pics of my current holster

Sweet... I asked this same question and a guy with a H&K with the same stock setup says he uses a blade tech holster as well. I will look into them for both H&K and G23. I'd like to carry the G23 if possible..... otherwise it will give me another excuse to buy that kimber :big grin:

In all honesty i probably wont carry, but I will leave it in the car with me on roadtrips.
