question about dir listing (apache)

    i am running apache and have turned dir listing on

    but every directory seems to include a file named "Thumbs.db"

    how do i get rid of that? and what is that file?

    Don't know about apache, but in IIS there was no way for filtering files that would be displayed in the directory list, so i basically coded a dir lister with filtering built-in...

    thumbs.db = file to maintain details about image thumbs that would be created when in explorer the view is changed to "thumbnails"

    pervisanathema ... i think that's the desktop.ini file ... but :dunno:

    thumbs.db is a windows file that is placed there. I am guesing that you are using samba to place the files in the apache folders. There are ways to edit the httpd.conf file to limit certain files from being displayed in the dir listings.
