I have a Casio qv-2000ux and I have looked everywhere for battery pack for it and can't find one. I have an external pack put I want an internal. Now my question is, are there any rechargeable AA batteries that will give me a decent amount of pictures per charge? And what are they?

good question... i would say any rechargeable batteries will give you more for your money, over standard AA's. as far as what brand is better, i would imagine they are all the same.

I got Maha Powerex 1800maH and the Maha c204f charger. They were rated the best by PCphoto and a bunch of others. Has anyone tried these?

I think I'm going to order that Powerex 2000mAH kit + charger for $50. Looks like a good deal. My Kodak POS rechargables aren't cutting it anymore.

nah, my work uses shitloads of batteries. They get top of the line energizers for $0.10 a piece. So I just put a few packs in my pocket on my last day every week :o

i just got a camera fro xmas and did some reading. maha c204 is rated by a couple sites as the best charger. and energizer 1850, sanyo 1850, and kodak 1850(all of which are made by sanyo) last longest. powerex and gp seem not bad too. i got some energizers yesterday and im looking around for the charger.

here is one review i found helpful, it has a couple other related reviews on the site too :)

I was just going to recommend that. He updates it frequently. If you have any questions email him and he is quick to respond. He said the IpowerUS 2100's work well for the first ten or so charges and then dramatically drop in capacity and he has tested several sets that do the same. He also said that teh GP2000's test like they are 1900's. The maha 2000's are new and I did not ask him about those. When I recieved my maha 1800's one had leaked so I sent them back but kept the charger. I ended up getting Energizer 1850's at walmart for $12 a pack. They have been working great for me and without the screen on they can last a couple hundred pictures even with the flash.

I'm still using quest 1600's since my cameras that use aa's (nikon 990) never gets used with the internal flash, they last plenty long (I either use the macro ringlight or an external flash and/or my elinchrom studio strobes.
