thinking about ditching my cactus triggers to get a set of cybersyncs, esp if i get this new job i'm interviewing for tomorrow. :x:

anyways, i know i need a transmitter and i want at least 1, maybe 2 or 3, of the receivers. now comes the question, is the only difference between the csrb and the csrb+, the + has the ability to use frequencies and channels when you trigger it and the regular one only uses frequencies? anyone able to shed some light on this?

    :bigthumb: Cyber Syncs are awesome.

I think you need the Cyber Commander and actual PCB strobes to get full functionality out of the CSRB+s though. I'd just get a CST and however many CSRBs.

or for $130-150 i can have a set of cybersync's. :dunno: its not like i'm ever going to be a professional photographer, this is a hobby for me. it might turn into some product photography for work if i get this new job, but if i need pocket wizzards for work, then i'll buy them then.

Just get the regular ones. You need the Cyber Commander (which isn't out yet) for the +'s.

Is there any way to turn off the CSRB receivers besides taking the batteries out? I realize they turn off automatically after an hour, but it seems silly to waste an hour of battery life when they are rated for only 200hrs.

Just to hijack a bit, do they take AA's or do they have an internal battery you just plug in?

The CST transmitter takes a disc shaped battery (kinda like a watch battery) and the CSRB takes 2 AA's.

yeah i'm having problems with them. i have 1 transmitter and 2 receivers. one of the receivers doesn't work at all on any channel with a brand new battery, and the other one only works on the hot shoe, the pc connection doesn't work.

ordered a set of cybersyncs tonight

anyone want a cheap seat of halfway functioning cactus triggers? :hsugh:
