I got my iBook for free... and it was purchased from some online retailer.

Is there any way to prove my proof of purchase? I have the original box, and there's a sticker on the box with my serial number, barcodes, specs of the laptop, etc.

    Does that qualify?

    Thanks for the help.

You positive about that? It's basically just a sticker on the side of the box. Contains all info about my iBook.

It said something like if I need to request techcnial support on my iBook, or if I want to bring it into the Apple store for repair (under 1 yr warranty), that I need to prove proof of purchase.

So I was wondering if that qualified.

the proof of purchase is the fucking laptop you idiot.

They scan the serial number at the Apple store when you bring it in for repairs.

Dude, all they need is the serial number. Go into About This Mac and then double click on the version 10.4.3 text.
