so I got my first AR, its a flattop with ARMS #40 BUIS...now with my pistol, I would aim so my sight was over my intended target, now when aiming with irons on my AR, do I aim like my handgun, or do I put the sight directly under my intended target.

    thanks :)

  2. eh, depends on the gun.

optimally, point of impact will be just at the top of the front sight.

I like to split the point of aim across with the top of the front sight.

    like so:

Put your nose to the charging handle so that you get the same sight picture every time. If you don't, you may have accuracy issues because of seeing the sight differently with different shots.
