Anyone know of a program that will log all AIM messages in the background?

Im asking this for a friend of mine who is trying to monitor her daughters conversations on AIM. You know, the typical 4th grade "you stole my man.." bullshit.

Anyway, any ideas would be helpfull.

Somthing that logs quickjly in like text, and has a directory listing by user name, and possibly date would be cool.

    Thanks. :x: :bigthumb:

why not a key log program?

Well, i would do that, with the exception of the fact that its a family used computer. SO i would be key logging shit for 5 different people. It would be to much shit to sift through.

Only her youngest daughter uses AIM, no one else in teh family does. So i was looking for a simple message logger that would track things easily, and in a simple format.

DeadAIM logs conversations. I've got a log of everyone I've talked to, and exactly what we both said since I installed it.

Yea I was going to say DeadAIM, think it'll cost you $1 now-- but the logging alone is worth that. :hs:

    Ill cheack out DeadAIM.

Her daughter is currently using AIM+, which does message logging...but she deletes all of the history in AIM+ when she logs.

    Ill definatly check out DeadAIM.

  9. Check out AIM+ defenetly, I use it and have used it for the last year and I have all my conversation on a .htm file and assorted by person and date.

I'm using one that Nocera wrote. Works great IMO, but he wants to clean it up before letting people get to it I guess. :dunno:

How computer savvy is she? Why don't you just make the log folder hidden? Or take it one step further and change the log directory and make it hidden.
