My father has one that I have shot a few times. I personally don't care for it. The factory sights (atleast the ones he had, non adjustable) caused you to damn near shoot into the dirt when trying to hit a target only a few feet off the ground that was 15ft away. I can understand them being adjusted low for CCW/close range purposes, but that was ridiculous.

I also didn't like the trigger pull on it. That might just be personal preference.

Other than that, I'd say it's an ok gun. It hasn't malfunctioned on him or anything. But he doesn't take it to the range 3x a week and put 250rd. through it each trip. It has maybe 750rd. total through it in the year or so that he's had it. He mostly just uses it for CCW, every once in a while.

p.s. I'd get a subcompact glock for just a little more if I were in your shoes.

I have the Pt-145 Millennium Pro and an Xd9 Service.....I love the way the XD9 shoots and the Taurus is a good shooter as well. From what I hear they are hit or miss with them though. Mine has around 1000 rounds since January and not one failure. I use it as my carry gun most of the time. Only issue is the long heavy trigger, but I got used to it eventually and I am getting better groups each time I take it out.

Ok........Decided to go with the M&P.

going to go with the M&P in .40

Should have it in about a month or so, after saving a few more dollars.

I held one at the store the other day........ that gun feels so good in the hand! I think that is what I will get next. There should be a rebate for some free mags or money off or something I saw around on one of these forums if purchased before December 31 I believe. Look into it once you get your new gun!

It's 2 free mags and $50 mail in rebate.

I just went to the range and fired off 300 rounds through mine yesterday. :bigthumb:
