I had a $25 gift card to Ritz (great gift THANKS :o), and needed a UV/clear filter for my Tam 17-50. I thought I midaswhale check out the Quantaray Digital Pro UV filter ($39) since I had the gift card there. It's supposedly MC, so I thought what the heck?

Brought it home, put it on, and it's great actually.

I did numerous sharpness tests at different apertures with it on & off and there is no difference whatsoever. I also did several flare/ghosting tests w/ sunlight, lamp light and strobe light..... and noticed no difference w/ it on vs. off.

I supposed I got a good copy, because I've heard mixed reviews of these filters.

So anyways, FYI OTAP. Considering Ritz is having big sales, it might be worth it. As long as all sales aren't final, you can always just return it if it sucks.
