Phantom Empress would be the lady to ask methinks.
I would try a hardware store for that soft, white rope.
Make sure you don't tie slipknots :)

Go to a fabric store. If you go to a big one, they tend to have a huge variety of rope along with different colours, thickness, quality, etc etc. In addition, it tends to be fairly cheap especially if you find ones that are in clearance. But yeah, try a fabric store. Hardware stores are okay, but they tend to be a little more coarse and tend to be only in white.

    :) Hopefully that helps :)

I think 1/4" nylon braided rope is good for beginners, its soft enough, you can burn the ends to not fray, and its not impossible to unknot.

If you really want good rope alot of people think hemp is the ultimate and will get it from http://www.twistedmonk.com/products.htm

That reminds me, its worth paying attention if you buy nylon rope, be sure to get braided and not twisted. Thw twisted is quite a bit more uncomfortable feeling and the difference will be noticeable when you run your hand across it.

hemp or cotton rope. Holds nots, great for suspendsion, tight bondage and otherwise fantastic.

nylon is GREAT for DECORATIVE TIES and light NON-weight bearing bondage an dyour knots are SUPER importantn if using nylon but nylon while it's silky and feels nice onthe skin, it is PRONE to slipping. So use with care.

Any recommendations on places/books/reference material to being learning rope bondage? Our technique sucks and I am nervous doing something without learning the basics first from somewhere.
