Its not connected to the camera and he is just pressing the test button.

  6. Actually the Sigma 10-20 and the Canon 10-22 are very much the same in quality.

just curious, why did you go with the 430 instead of a used 550, they go for about the same price :hs:

either way, external flash ftw, being able to bounce the flash makes a world of difference :bigthumb:

You treated it well.. except for that gouge out of the filter thread :p my Hoya UV covers it up though.

It was total darkness.. to focus, i held the focus button in one hand, while firing flashes with the other.. (flash was not attached to camera).. Then I ran around flashing all the areas of the tractor that i wanted to show up as evenly as i could by pushing the Pilot (test) button on the flash... Also used a diffuser on the flash so i didn't get a ton of specular highlights.

i did disclose the thread gouge in the auction, right?

even had a big picture of it

anyways, i guess i will look for the "test" button on the flash :h5:

i haven't really checked this section of ot enough.

    the pics are outstanding :eek3:

as i get back to trying and take improved snap shots, i'll try and compensate with some gear

    ya i knew. ;)

You can't miss the button, it glows red.

And if you learn anything from this section, learn to not take 'snap shots' at all.. learn to compose photographs.. snap shots are for girls taking pics for their myspace profiles. :p
