I want to take the hard drive out of my old computer and put it into my backup computer for extra storage.

Both machines are running Win XP SP2. What all do I need to do to move that harddrive over? I am reasonable sure that I know where to hook everything up at I just don't know if I need to change some of the bios options and what not.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Just put it into the new computer. You don't HAVE to change anything in bios...but you might want to look in it after its a backup and make sure its not a boot priority device, but again you don't have to do anything. Also if it has a jumper make sure to move that over if you want it to be the second drive.

Thanks, I moved the hard drive over and everything is working great again. The only problem that I had was that my computer tried to boot off that older drive instead of the drive that was already there. I just had to go change the boot preferences in BIOS and it has been working great since.
