I've been out of the comic loop for a few years now, but recently orderd and read Punisher: Welcome back frank graphic novel and loved it.

I'm just curious now where to go next... I know there is a vol.2 and vol.3 so i'll be buying those.

But they've restarted war journal as well? or what about the punisher max series? any tips or recomendations would be great!

There's 6 volumes of Punisher MAX on the shelves right now. Best place to find them would probably be Amazon.com since they do free shipping and charge less than cover price. Otherwise, I'd check local bookstores that are big, like a big Barnes and Noble or Borders or something. If you're supportive, buy it at full-price at a local comic shop. Each ranges in price from $12 to $18 bucks, depending on how many issues are collected. Currently they are on issue forty-something, and volume 6 tpb goes to issue 36. The new trade for vol 7 comes out april and goes to 42. If you think you like it, I think I'd pick up backissues to 43 that are still easy to find and then get some trades.

As long as none of the issues gained too much value, it costs roughly the same to buy ALL the backissues, and it's much more fun. Nowadays only the red-hot stuff will increase the backissue price, like anything Ultimate. I'd go with void's proposition and buy them all. Go do it.
