Does anyone know of a way to pull out a dent in the front metal part of the engine block without going to a body shop? I was thinking about tying chains around it and pulling it with another car, but I'm not really sure what the consequences of that could be. Here is a picture to help visualize what exactly is bent forward.

I would remove all the parts and see what exactly is bent. It is possibly a cross member that just bolts in, but probably something that would need to be cut out and a new one welded in.

you also are going to need to check to see if the radiator/AC condenser are FUBAR.

bent radiator support. you'll need a new one, and you'll need a body shop to do it. with your amount of car knowledge, i wouldn't attempt a d-i-y job.

Why would a bent radiator support make the car drive more inferior to before?

I am commenting based on a previous person's post... If it's a part of the cars unibody and was welded in, then it would absolutely change the vehicle's ride!
