I got a new tattoo on Friday and it is really scabbed over. Parts of the scab have just fallen off, and the ink under it looks fine. Can I just pull the scab off?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It can pull the color out if you pull the scab. you need to let it come off naturally

in my experience it doesn't make that much of a difference, if you can already see whats underneath it...but if you can already see whats underneath it that means that its basically fallen off already ? :dunno: how else you would see underneath it. I had a long scab that was falling off, only a little teenie bit was holding on...I pulled it, probably got it touched up in one of the later sessions of my tattoo but i never noticed where it was.

    +1

Slap the area if it itches. . . but let any excess skin come off all on its own.

Definitely no...I have a yinyang on my upper right shoulder and it scabbed a little. I picked it off and needless to say I'm glad it is in an area I can't see because I would have had it retouched already.

if it's got a big scab on it you fucked up already, pull it off if you want, you didn't take care of it very well

Incorrect...depending on the tattoo artist there is such a thing as going too deep.

leave the scabs on, tattoo's scabs are no different to a normal cut. apart from pulling some of the colour out they help stop infecion.
