I dont know why you guys are all against this, I have been huge WWF/E fan my whole life. That is until I discovered MMA. I cant watch that crap anymore, but truth be told they are some hardcore guys with a ton of talent. As brutal as MMA training can be, wrestling year round 1-2 times a week is no joke either, all while being on the road.

As for getting knocked out, Kurt has some practice with taking chair shots to the head, and those arent fake chairs. Anyhow he is a legit wrestler and stands a good chance given the right training imho

I'd venture to say that getting punched and kicked in the face by someone who is trying to knock you out it a hell of a lot different than any physical punishment you absorb pro wrestling.

I don't deny those guys are in great shape and must have a lot of stamina. But you get used to compliant training after a while...

i don't dispute that at all, i hate pro wrestling, but he was a world class ameture and if he trains hard at some boxing and BJJ with that sort of wrestling background it doesnt' seem to crazy to think he could compete, i'm not saying he's gonna be the Pride champion in 6 months or anything but to write him off cause he was in the pro wrestling junk seems weird with his real wrestling background.

he's a pretty good freestyle wrestler so it only seems that the transition to mma comes natrual. He's probably gona be a gnp guy and if he learns some sub defense he'll be good. The only thing that i don't like about this is that the more pro-wrestlers are going into mma, i fear that mma will become like pro-wrestling, with worked matches etc. etc. I doubt he'll be fighting for mma salary, and i also doubt that whatever organization he goes to would want him to loose, since the fans don't wanna see their guy loose all the time. The fans are another thing, this kind of stuff attracts the wrong crowd, which is the wwf crowd who are gonna be booing when the fight goes to the ground :hsugh:

I mean seriously, he'll get his ass kicked. But he deserves a hell of alot more credit than everyone gives him.

I doubt this is going to happen. Angle has serious problems with his neck even after getting it fused together.

eh i don't think its that they shouldnt try, obviously they have the 1 up already in size. I think they jsut have to realize they have to start from square one just like everyone else and not assume they have some sort of advantage they dont have.

Olympic caliber wrestlers w/ the right trainers become amazing mma fighters. Look at Mark Kerr, Matt Hughes, Randy Couture, etc...

And he still fights. Often too... usually against young guys with no records or local talent. King of the Cage and his own organization Danger Zone.
