I bought my first firearm the other week and noticed while filing some paperwork that it asked if you had any mental problems, pysch ward, etc. If a veteran files for disability involving PTSD do you think it would hinder his gun ownership rights?

Possibly. This is a big gray area in gun laws. Purely speculation on my part, but I'd assume that things will probably go through alright, applications might get put on hold and you'l have a make a few phone calls, but I'd imagine you'll be able to get your guns as long as you're willing to nudge things along.

You'd be best off asking a gun shop. Don't bother asking a cop, cops don't know a god damn thing about gun laws.

Disclosure of PTSD and MTBI and TBI will all have a serious impact on a whole bunch of things in civilian life.
