I currently have the sonata 380w psu with only 1 fan.

I was searching online and read that normally the PSU will have 2 fans but the sonata only has 1 so that it's quiet. I found reviews and apparently the dba is only .1 or something higher for a truecontrol 550 with 2 fans instead of just the 1 in the sonata. Now comes the question.

Will a dual fan PSU w/ 120mm intake fan cause case temps to drop more because of the air being sucked out by the psu fan also and will it be much noisier than the single fan solution?

Also, truecontrol 550 comes with fan speed min control (which i want) BUT it also comes with voltage controls for 3.5/5/12v lines which I have no understanding of. Will I be okay to purchase this and never adjust the lines or would it be required. The price is only $5 more than the standard 550 for me.

do NOT get the truecontrol 550. I have had a LOT of problems with it. If you need a better PSU, then grab a sparkle, fortron, or enermax. If you're current PSU is doing fine, then don't even touch it.

As far as cooling, it won't really matter.
