There's no official way to do it like the newer models but you could probably do it via homebrew. I haven't messed with PSP homebrew in a long time but I remember you could get it to output to a monitor (with some lag). Maybe there's something new :dunno:

i'm not trying to troll or anything, this is an actual question: what exactly is the point of hooking your psp up to your tv? i've messed around with remote play with my ps3, etc but never just straight hooked my psp up to my tv. i just can't think of a reason. play your psp games on a bigger screen? :dunno:

It's definitely doable. Remote Joy Lite. Hook t.v. to computer, psp to computer via usb cable and voila.

    Yes you need cfw.

It depends on which 2000 model. If it's a later 2000 model (or a 3000 model) you need to do the ChickHEN method.

The TA-088V3 and the TA090V2 motherboards are not hackable for the slims using a pandora's battery. If you can try to recall what firmware your psp slim came with, it can be an indicator whether or not you can try the pandora's battery method. Anything that came with firmware 4.00 and above has a high probability of not working with pardora's battery method. Don't worry, you can still use the ChickHEN method as stated by dRu.

the only way to do this with a 1000 series is with a hardware mod or a video capture device mounted on the PSP's screen, think camera pointed at your psp then hooked up to your TV. thats how review sites used to get gameplay footage.
