Just a quick question, does anyone know if you can hook up a psp 1000 to a tv?
Nope. I think PSP 2000 and up.
There's no official way to do it like the newer models but you could probably do it via homebrew. I haven't messed with PSP homebrew in a long time but I remember you could get it to output to a monitor (with some lag). Maybe there's something new
i'm not trying to troll or anything, this is an actual question: what exactly is the point of hooking your psp up to your tv? i've messed around with remote play with my ps3, etc but never just straight hooked my psp up to my tv. i just can't think of a reason. play your psp games on a bigger screen?
Iunno really, just thought it'd be cool when I'm playin it at home in front of my tv that'd it might as well be on it. I see what you're sayin tho
65" plasma > 1" PSP
Ya, that's my thinkin too
i may have to try this.
don't you have to buy extra shit to do this though? if so, then out
It's definitely doable. Remote Joy Lite. Hook t.v. to computer, psp to computer via usb cable and voila.
Yes you need cfw.
is pandora battery the only way to put cfw on a psp slim? i remember putting cfw on my 1000 without all that shit.
It depends on which 2000 model. If it's a later 2000 model (or a 3000 model) you need to do the ChickHEN method.
The TA-088V3 and the TA090V2 motherboards are not hackable for the slims using a pandora's battery. If you can try to recall what firmware your psp slim came with, it can be an indicator whether or not you can try the pandora's battery method. Anything that came with firmware 4.00 and above has a high probability of not working with pardora's battery method. Don't worry, you can still use the ChickHEN method as stated by dRu.
i have the darth vader model with the latest firmware. what is all this chickHEN stuff about?
the only way to do this with a 1000 series is with a hardware mod or a video capture device mounted on the PSP's screen, think camera pointed at your psp then hooked up to your TV. thats how review sites used to get gameplay footage.
wow that sounds pretty gay. Thought there'd be somethin way simpler but I guess not for the 1000
