Bad idea? What kind of weight training would be best if this isn't a bad idea. I've been using the routine christophers posted and eating a balanced diet of 50/25/25 (little to no sat.fat and no trans fat) But I really need to cut this BF% down.

I was thinking of cycling PSMF for 2 weeks at a time. Only supps i'm taking now is a daily multivitamin and fish oil when i remember. (need to get better at remembering those)

depends on whether you mind reading a book on a computer screen. I got the e-book because I don't really mind... and I'm impatient, like Grandgirl :)

    Short excerpt from Lyle's book:

The extreme caloric deficit of the crash diet makes SNS slowdown a very real issue. Although, as stated above, the adaptive metabolic rate drop can never completely eliminate the deficit (especially when it is this large), using a compound like EC still helps to keep things humming along. The appetite blocking and muscle sparing/fat loss increasing effects are an added bonus. Note that the drop in insulin/SNS output and loss of water on the crash diet tends to reduce blood pressure to begin with (which is a good thing if you have high blood pressure and can make you lightheaded if you don’t, or run a low blood pressure to begin with), meaning that EC should be reasonably safe for most crash dieters.

Still, before considering using the EC stack, you need to ask yourself very seriously if you have any preexisting problems (such as cardiac abnormalities, high blood pressure or heart rate, a general intolerance to stimulants) that would prevent you from using the EC stack. Neither my karma or my legal/financial status needs someone’s death on its hands because they choose to take something they really shouldn’t have been taking.

honestly i'm scared of taking too much, i figure i'd start with 25mg of ephedrine and 200mg of caffeine twice a day for a week and see how that works out. To my knowledge, i've got a high tolerance to caffiene, and have always.

I start PSMF on Monday. I will be continuing Christophers' base routine but will be dropping a set per exercise. That should be about right for volume. EC Stack according to Lyle's recommendation is what I will be using.

Buy the ebook. Quick & easy read if you are used to scowering forums. :bigthumb:

no, that is way too much volume. You really underestimate how hard it is to workout on a PSMF. Follow Lyle's recommendations for workouts:

    full-body, 2-3x a week:
    low reps, heavy weight
    2 sets per muscle group

that's it. You aren't going to gain muscle, nor are you likely to gain strength. Remember, you are doing a maintenance workout - that means much lower volume.

If I remember correctly, yes. Just do the normal stuff, like

    flat bench - 2x6
    shoulder press - 2x6
    rows or pulldowns - 2x6
    squat - 2x6
sldl or leg curl - 2x6
    ab movement - 2x6

something like that, very basic... just go heavy, but not to failure. The goal is to maintain muscle mass, nothing more.

there's also depletion workouts you can do, and power workout during the refeed period. I would recommend buying the UD2.0 as well, it goes more in depth about the science of fatloss (hormones, etc).. basically there is a ton of information that really explains how your body fights fat loss. Once you read that, you won't have any more questions about what to eat, when to eat, how to lose fat, how to gain muscle, etc :)

It's very informative and extremely easy to understand
