can civilians purchase and own the psg1? how much do they cost with a decent scope?
got about 10 grand laying around ?
HK must make their recievers out of solid gold, then parkerize them or something. i just don't understand how the market value got so high.
they're like 10k plus the cost of a scope
i bleieve they were banned in the US
They aren't banned persay, but it is no longer legal to import them.
Yes, a new example sells for about $10,000 as a complete package which from the factory included a 6x42 Hensoldt optic.
hmm USG pays less for an M2 .50 cal.
i loved the old psg1 advertisements. the navy seal looking dude in the swamp posing with his finger on the trigger.
aren't they advertised as he msot accurate sniper rifle in the world?
i think i read that somewhere, is there such a thing?
They are usually considered the most accurate *semi-automatic* rifle in the world, yes.
any particular reason?
no need to get technical. the price tag is justified.. simple as that.
there's a used one on Gunbroker.com for $8,200
hell, for $10K you can find ma deuces. no one wants to buy one though, because the ammo is so expensive that you'd never be able to shoot it.
ammo too expensive? .308 is only about $180 a case, not much more than most .45 acp ive seen, and still less than .30-06.
the ma deuce shoots .50 BMG. ma deuce. M2. M2 browning machine gun. .50 BMG. Browning machine gun. is the connection being made yet?
sorry, didnt notice, i thought we were still talking about the psg1.
big gun, big bullets, big boom
