    HK must make their recievers out of solid gold, then parkerize them or something. i just don't understand how the market value got so high.

    They aren't banned persay, but it is no longer legal to import them. :greddy:

    Yes, a new example sells for about $10,000 as a complete package which from the factory included a 6x42 Hensoldt optic.

    aren't they advertised as he msot accurate sniper rifle in the world?

    i think i read that somewhere, is there such a thing?

    They are usually considered the most accurate *semi-automatic* rifle in the world, yes.

    hell, for $10K you can find ma deuces. no one wants to buy one though, because the ammo is so expensive that you'd never be able to shoot it.

    ammo too expensive? .308 is only about $180 a case, not much more than most .45 acp ive seen, and still less than .30-06.
