    so last night I had downloaded images from all my shooting this weekend and just as I get ready to start looking through them in Bridge my monitor flickers. Then it does it like 3 more times, and finally goes black:noes:. Flashes up "No signal" on the screen, then goes into standby mode

    :noes::mad::wtf::wtc:

    I'm thinking to myself "Fuck, I can't go out and buy a new pc right not if my onboard vid card died on me:mad::wtc:, and I can't edit on my laptop:nono:."

    So I try a few things, unplug from the back of the PC, unplug the power source (long shot, but gotta rule it out right)....well then I grab a different monitor real fast and go to try swapping just to see...pull off the back plate and out falls the cable:eek3:. It would appear that the last time I did something I didn't screw it in, and then over time my feet have hit the cables etc and loosened it up.

    Screw them babies in, and BAM! I'm off to edit images from the weekend.

    So, lesson learned...those thumb screws aren't just there for looks, screw them in. Now we know....

    and knowing is half the battle!!!!

    Except you need a small child to be able to undo them again. They think it's funny to curve the plastic part back up over the screws so you can't use an actual screw driver to undo it, even though they put a slot for a flat head.

    At least that's how my VGA cables were, the DVI not so much.
