I'm new to PS3 crew :wiggle:

Stupid question... how do I know when it's charging? I stuck the usb cable to my laptop computer... and I'm charging it this way... at least I think I am.

The 4 red lights on the controller are flashing. Does this mean it's charging? :o

It means it is looking for a spot to locate itself. Why aren't you charging it through your PS3?

    oh ok haha.

It's funny though...most of the hardcore PS3 haters have bought them by this point.

It won't unless it found a slot. If it did, it will stay light.

No slot for charge, controller lights with 4, but is it for 2 lights like 3 when you no charge it to be for console, for laptop instead? Or flashing is for charging?

If the controller syncs with the PS3, it will keep blinking on any of the slots and when it is fully charged, it will stay lit.

You are fine charging from any USB port I have done this before too, the blinking lights means it is charging. Enjoy.

Plug it into your PC. My cable box has a USB port and I charge it there. See if yours has one on the back. You can also get AC to USB chargers cheap, and it'll charge cell phones, mp3 players, GPS, etc. to boot. Either way, get a mini-hub and charge at least 4 things at once.
