protien.. should i take this while trying to lose weight?

    i dont take any right now... i just started eating clean and alot of working out

    im 5'5
    215 pounds

    should i be taking this? and if so how much and what kind?

    Just do a lot of situps and you'll lose the fat and get abs.

    i didnt ask how to lose weight... just asked if i should take protien main question.. will this help me in my goal to lose weight or will the gain weight

    Did you read the fucking noob thread?

    Getting between 1g - 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight will help preserve your muscle mass. All things being equal, more muscle mass = higher metabolic rate = more calories being burned = more weight loss.

    Just remember that when you add protein you are adding calories, so you need to cut back on calories from other sources.

    ok i just ran next door to gnc and they had these cans of pre mixed protien shakes for 5 for 1.00... made by MET-RX there called RTD reduced calorie protien shake..anybody tried these?? i got 20 of them :noes:

    You don't "take" protein. Protein is FOOD. Go read the stickies- seriously- and realize that you have to properly balance the food you take in, whether it's solid form or shake form, and the ratios within the food of protein, fat, and carbs.

    yeah, high protein is very helpful when dieting on a number of different levels, definitely take it

    I have been cutting for a long while now. I take 1 scoop of protein and 2 scoops of dex in my pwo shake. All the rest I get from whole foods, which is what you should do imho. I have lost 55lbs since August. www.allthewhey.com has good stuff and great prices. Oh and please read the sticky as these questions come up EVERY week and thats why you get the responses you get in this thread.
