protein absorption per hour?

    is ~75g protein per hour too much for a 200lb. active male or can i handle more?

    i always try to cut my protein intake around that, but if that shit doesn't matter, it'd be a lot more accomodating for my diet..

    EDIT I'm not talking about doing that every hour, I'm talking about limiting meal portions to where they don't contain MORE than 75g protein

    Sometimes I can eat more and would like to, but I don't want to the protein to be wasted

    assuming you are awake for 12 hours... thats 900g's of protein a day, which is WAY TOO much for anyone.

    aim for 1-1.5g per lb/per day

    it does not directly answer your question, but i thought you might find it interesting nonetheless, especially the part about amino acids for all those taking xtend, (which i am as well)

    the funny thing about this is, the more i read the more i come to realize how little what you eat matters as long as you are getting all your nutrional requirements and meeting your total caloric goals

    i've been cheating on my superclean diet with taco bell in order to get in some extra calories and i actually feel better

    I've been wondering about this too. Theres been more than a few times in the last week or two that I could have 100+ grams of protein in a single meal, and didn't do it for the same fear, it being wasted.

    Awesome, this just saved me the humiliation of everyone telling me to search before I post :cool: I was worried about eating so much protein that it would just get shat out before it could be absorbed.

    Sounds like that's highly unlikely. :cool:

    Here is a question though, if you have dihherria after eating a big meal, are less calories absorbed then?

    I read some papers on purging behaviors in bulimic disorder (psych major ftw) and eating TONS of laxatives would lead to not absorb about 10-15% of the calories. This study was done with extreme cases of diarrhea induced with tons of laxatives too, some in a "normal" scenario I wouldn't really think about it. You should think about making sure you're hydrated instead.
