Project SBS 870 is under way.

I did the state paperwork a couple months ago so I don't have dates on it. I think it was a month turn around on the Registration.

7/17 - Mailed Packet to BATFE
    7/28 - Check Cleared
    8/24 - Pending
    9/29 - Approved
    9/30 - Mailed
    10/8 - Received

Gonna go with the plastic, or walnut furniture?
I really like the look of the walnut from the police edition 870's. They can usually be found on ebay for reasonable prices.

I already have speedfeed stuff on it so i'm basically just going to chop the barrel and replace the front sight.

$5 to transfer, $200 to build. If you're smart, you'll get and SOT to do the manufacturing for you, and transfer it to you for $5. (they'll surely charge you some just to do the work)

This is a SBS though, that's $200 for manufacture or transfer.

    that'd be SBS.

aow is $5 transfer but $200 to build.

also, i'm relatively certain to build an AOW you have to start from a stripped frame/receiver.

A class 2 SOT can manufacture NFA items, and transfer them to anyone who can legally own them. Obviously they can't transfer post samples, but suppressors, sbr's, sbs's, and aow's are fair game.

DO'h! I just noticed I misread your previous post.
I thought you said an SOT couldn't transfer to average folk.

Move along, nothing to see here. :wiggle:

My S12 took 6 weeks from cleared to pending and 4 weeks from pending to approved.

This one is already two weeks faster in the Cleared>Pending process.
