    I think my goal for bulking is to get to 230, they start cutting in Jan.

    but how much is to much, I mean at 230 that will be like 30-35 lbs gained, just seemed like alot to me.

    You have to remember it is certainly not all muscle...

    I dont know a lot about this stuff, but I would imagine if your plan is to gain another 10lbs by January, at least 8 of those will be fat or water/glycogen. Maybe 1-2lbs will be muscle.

    right which is how this generally works, which is kinda what I am asking, how much weight(muscle/fat/water/glycogen/skin/whatever else you want to call it) is standard to gain when bulking

    when you guys cut, don't you lose muscle mass and strength? or is it minimal. I'm at the point where i'm starting to get a little gut..i'm mainly concerned with strength but- i don't want to have too much fat with a lack of muscle.

    i don't do cardio exercise at the moment.

    There are no particular standars...but the rule of thumb is that the longer you bulk, the longer you will have to cut... Also, a "fast" bulk will yeild more fat than a steady slow one...which would probably require a shorter cut. It all depends on you goals as well...

    come home drunk and pissed off at girls and started punching it. I could never get it to break at all, so then I told my roommates that I hit it pretty hard and it didn;t break, so then it became the fun thing to try and do when drunk. It took along time to break, I can;t remember if it was a kick or hit with a pool stick that finally did it.

    Nice progress, but it looks to me like you put on fat, not so much muscle, could be just the photos though.

    How are your lifts?

    Honestly I think you looked better at your leanest. You look like you've put on a lot of waterweight and bloat.

    yeah, I have definatly put on alot of fat, that is why I cut first, I had to know I could do it bc I knew if I bulked I would gain fat.

    I know I am alot stronger these are the lifts I have maxed out on since gaining weight.

    Squat before 375, now 405

    DB flat bench before 110-3X3, now 120 3X3.

    Flat BB bench 320, now?

    DL before 525, now?

    I have been really busy with school this semester so it was probably not the best time to start bulking but I did anyways. In general I can just tell I am alot stronger. My squat feels great, like my body just feels so much better, before I would feel more aches in my knees and stuff, now my legs just feel good.

    If you continue to bulk I'd do it differently to not put so much body fat on. I don't think bulking should be an excuse to allow yourself to get fat
