Programs Access Problem

    I just reformated my computer and now there are programs like, MSN, ICQ, WINAMP, Kazaa... etc that need internet access which are now having troubles accessing the internet. My computers outlook/internet explorer work, iam able to check mail and surf freely. But also, my computer won't load microsofts windows update site... what's the problem!? Can anyone help me...:wtc:

    Running a firewall? Router?

    I was using a router, but iam not anymore.. Its directly to my computer
    No firewall

    If you're running XP, is the Internet Connection Firewall running?

    You need a default connection set I think.

    Advanced - Restore Defaults
